03 — MULTIPLY THE CROP — THE REVENUE LAYERS
Once the crop is protected, make the room earn more.
Rolling benches recover a commonly cited 20 to 30% more usable area by collapsing fixed aisles to one moving aisle (a benchmark the largest greenhouse manufacturers publish), and they pair naturally with fertigation. Supplemental lighting lifts winter and cloudy-day yield; LED fixtures run at roughly 2.7 to 3.0 micromoles per joule versus 1.7 to 2.1 for HPS, for about 40 to 50% less electricity at the same canopy light (commercial horticulture lighting suppliers' figures). 04 — OPTIMIZE THE ROOM — ONLY AFTER THE BASICS
CO2 is dessert, not dinner.
CO2 enrichment can raise yield by roughly 10 to 25% at 800 to 1,000 ppm (Cannabis Business Times) — but only once light, water, nutrients, and temperature are already dialed in. It multiplies an optimized room and does nothing for a weak one, which is why it comes after the protect-and-multiply layers, never before them.
05 — INSURE THE STACK — LAST, SIZED FROM EVERYTHING
Backup power is quoted last because its size comes from everything above it.
An outage that drops climate and light can cost a crop in an hour (IMEG), so backup power protects the whole stack — but you cannot size it until you know the total connected load of the lighting, climate, and irrigation it has to carry. That is why it is quoted last, derived from everything you specified before it.
